- Drilling and driving with one tool: the XLY-21-13 with a 13 mm chuck, 0.93 kg bare, supplied with two 4.0 Ah batteries and a case.
- Furniture assembly and everyday drilling: the XLY-21-10 with a 10 mm chuck, 0.872 kg bare, two 2.0 Ah batteries, 10 per carton.
- Tight spaces: the XLY-16-10, 0.771 kg bare, the lightest LEIYU drill; it uses its own 16.8 V battery, not shared with the 21 V tools.
- Winter ice holes: the XLY-21-13C ice drill, 13 mm chuck, supplied with two 6.0 Ah batteries.
- All four have brushless motors; the three 21 V models share batteries with every other LEIYU 21 V tool in the shop.
Start with the chuck: 10 or 13 mm?
The chuck decides how thick a bit the drill can hold. A 10 mm chuck is enough for furniture assembly, fitting hardware and everyday drilling; a 13 mm chuck takes thicker bits and is steadier for large holes, metal and long screws. Both have a torque ring: pick the setting for the material and screw size, and the clutch slips at the set torque, so screw heads are not stripped.
LEIYU's 13 mm drill is the XLY-21-13: 0.93 kg bare, supplied with two 4.0 Ah batteries and a case, used for renovation, joinery and fitting hardware. The 10 mm XLY-21-10 weighs 0.872 kg bare, comes with two 2.0 Ah batteries, 10 per carton, and does not tire the hand.
How do the four drills compare?
| Model | Chuck | Typical use | Battery configuration | Bare-tool weight | Units per carton |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| XLY-21-13 | 13 mm | Drilling and driving: renovation, joinery, fitting hardware | 2 × 4.0 Ah | 0.93 kg | 6 units/carton |
| XLY-21-10 | 10 mm | Furniture assembly, fitting hardware, everyday drilling | 2 × 2.0 Ah | 0.872 kg | 10 units/carton |
| XLY-16-10 | 10 mm | Tight spaces: cabinets, ceilings, inside equipment | 2 × 2.0 Ah | 0.771 kg | 10 units/carton |
| XLY-21-13C | 13 mm | Winter ice holes, with an ice auger | 2 × 6.0 Ah | - | 5 units/carton |
Weights are for the bare tool without battery; the XLY-21-13C weight is still to be added. The XLY-21-13C has a 13 mm chuck, two speeds and reverse, so with an ordinary bit it also drills and drives screws.
Brushed or brushless?
All four LEIYU drills have brushless motors. A brushless motor has no carbon brushes, works longer on the same battery, runs cooler, and the shop keeps one wear part fewer. When comparing with other brands in the shop, ask about the motor type first, then compare prices.
How to pair batteries?
The XLY-21-13, XLY-21-10 and XLY-21-13C run on 21 V batteries and take any capacity from 2.0 to 8.0 Ah: a 2.0 Ah pack makes the tool lighter, a 6.0 or 8.0 Ah pack runs longer. The batteries fit every LEIYU 21 V tool, so a customer's second tool needs no new battery.
The XLY-16-10 uses its own 16.8 V battery and does not share with the 21 V tools; display it away from the 21 V shelf so customers do not pick the wrong battery.
In winter a lithium battery gives less usable charge in the cold, which is why the ice drill comes with two 6.0 Ah packs; keep the batteries indoors when not in use and rotate a spare while working.
When do you need a rotary hammer?
A drill is for wood, metal and plastic. Holes in concrete or brick and chasing need a rotary hammer: the LEIYU XLY-26-1 and XLY-26-2 are two-mode hammers for hammer drilling and chiselling, and the XLY-05-24 adds a drilling mode for wood and metal.

What should a shop stock?
For a hardware shop: the XLY-21-13 is the main model, the XLY-21-10 covers home use and light jobs, and the XLY-16-10 suits installers who work inside cabinets and ceilings. Fishing and outdoor shops stock the XLY-21-13C for winter. If you also buy wrenches, hammers and grinders, the drill in the XLY-SET-3 and both SET-4 kits is the XLY-21-13.
