Who is private label for?
Importers who want their own tool brand; dealers who carry other brands but want to add a house line; chains that want one brand across many stores. It also suits customers who want a LEIYU model adapted for their local market, for example a different charger plug, voltage marking, manual language or kit configuration.
Private label starts from LEIYU's 21 V platform already in mass production; the motor, battery and charger are all in current production, so development is short: what changes is the appearance, labels, packaging and kit, not the whole tool.
How do OEM and ODM differ?
ODM means choosing models LEIYU already mass-produces and shipping them under your brand; OEM means producing to the brand, colour, label and packaging requirements you supply. Motors, batteries and chargers are already in mass production; what changes is the appearance, labels, packaging and kit contents. No new models are developed.
Both use the LEIYU 21 V battery platform. When you add models later, the batteries still fit every 21 V tool under your brand.
How is the minimum order counted?
Both OEM and ODM start from 300 sets, counted per model, colour and configuration: three models means 300 sets of each. The same model in another colour also counts as a new configuration.
What can be changed?
- Brand mark: Your brand on the tool, battery, charger and packaging.
- Colour and labels: Housing colour, product labels and rating plates are made to your requirements; the colour can be confirmed on a sample.
- Retail box and carton: Packaging can be a colour box, a blow-moulded tool case or a brown carton; box artwork and carton markings follow the destination country’s requirements.
- Manual: Manuals and label languages are prepared for the destination country.
- Batteries and accessories: Battery capacity and included accessories are chosen to fit how you sell.
- Kit configuration: Which tools and how many batteries go into a kit is set by your list.

How long does the process take?
- Send your requirements: Which tools you need, which country you sell in, the expected quantity, and whether it is LEIYU brand or private label.
- Choose models and configuration: We recommend models from those already in mass production, with the battery capacity, accessories and number of tools per kit for each.
- Confirm quote and customisation: The quotation lists the customised items, the packing method and the lead time.
- Artwork and sampling: Samples are made so you can check the tool as well as the labels and packaging; the timing is confirmed per project.
- Approve sample and specifications: Artwork, manual text, rating plates, carton markings and the kit list are all approved in writing.
- Production and inspection: About 35 days after the sample is approved and the specification is final; checks run during production, and everything is checked again against the approved details before packing.
- Packing and shipping: Goods are packed with the approved carton markings, and the export documents your forwarder and customs broker need are prepared.
The time for artwork and sampling depends on what is customised and is stated together with the quotation.
How are samples charged?
Samples are charged at normal sample prices, with sample and shipping costs paid before dispatch; once you place a full order, the sample fee can be credited against it as agreed.
Can I start with a trial order?
Yes. A trial order uses the LEIYU brand and can combine several models without customisation; for the models that sell well, you then move to your own brand from the OEM minimum.
